Directions:
- Carefully make a hole in the top of each egg with a pin
- Enlarge the holes, and pour out the yolks
- (store yolks in container for later use)
- Gently clean the shells - Let dry
- Now it's time for the dye - Choose your colors and begin dyeing
- (Follow package instructions)
- Place them in the egg carton and let dry
- Cut wire-core wicks to about 4 inches long
- Flatten one end and fasten in shell with a bit of warm wax.
- Using a funnel, fill shells with hot wax. Let cool.
- Trim the wicks, and light.
If you are not sure about experimenting with the wax, a quick and simple alternative to filling the eggs, would be to use tea light candles - find the scented ones, and add a sweet aroma into the air.
(Make sure the hole is big enough to insert the tea light candle into the shell)
