Embrace your weaknesses as little opportunities to strengthen them as well as grow from them

Growth begins the moment we begin to accept our own weaknesses. When we let go of 'the perfect' little world we have long created over the course of our lives, and begin to allow what Is, to just Be, we transform ourselves and our experience.

It is so easy to speak of our strengths, all the things we are 'good' at. What's a little more challenging, is our ability to accept our weaknesses, things we're not so 'good' at. It requires a humbling of your spirit, a vulnerability if you will, to admit our shortcomings. My guess is we are somewhat afraid to risk being critiqued and or criticized. The irony here is, it is rarely other people who will have the most to say, or even think of judging you. In this respect, I think it is safe to say that it is Us, Ourselves, that we fear the most. After all, as the saying goes... - We are our own worst critic. The way I see it, admitting our weaknesses shows an extreme amount of courage and yet at the same time, it is a kind of owning up of your shortcomings, taking responsibility if you will, which of course will immediately remove all blame towards something or someone outside of ourselves. We make room for change to occur, by beginning to appreciate our weaknesses as little opportunities to strengthen them. We transform our thoughts about our limitations and build upon success, despite them.
