Opening the door of Change

Don't be Afraid to walk through

Change can be a scary thing for some, while others leap at the thought of something different. Fear is the number one, underlying factor in resisting change.

When fear enters our minds, we come up with a slew of reasons on how / why / what if it doesn't work. These thoughts can be crippling and will most certainly keep the whirlwind in your mind circulating, and if you allow them to continue, will make the process much more unpleasant and at times overwhelming.

I am a firm believer that we are born of Love and Fear is something we learn. We create such mountains out of molehills and can turn what could possibly be one of the most life-altering events into a pile of rubbish, ultimately causing us to make almost every excuse in the book of why it will fail, and make a list of every single thing that may or will go wrong.

Another resistance to change may be due to the fact that people are 'stuck in their ways'. You've heard the old saying..."If it ain't broke, don't fix it". True indeed! Stepping onto a brand-new path is difficult...But.......without ever considering that another way may be more beneficial, enjoyable, maybe even more rewarding, is to become content with what you have, which is great :), but can also lead to lack of ambition and zest for something more....Change in this sense doesn't have to be about excluding or throwing out what is currently working, it just means to leave room for expansion, too add a little sparkle and spice to the existing situation is all.
