Difficult times have helped me to understand better than before, how infinitely rich and beautiful life is in every way, and that so many things that one goes worrying about are of no importance whatsoever.

Challenges and difficulties are a part of all of our lives. They either control us or we control them. I see challenges and difficulties as room for improvement. My mom used to tell me when I was younger..."Out of every bad, there is something good". Of course I didn't understand it at the time, but the older I get, the more I realize that she was right. When we are faced with challenges, we always have choices, although in our darkest hour, it often times seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Remembering that we ARE the solution to any of our problems, helps us to look them square in the face and take action. Looking for the small positive things in the middle of your difficulties, sheds light, giving us new perspectives, new ideas, and allows us to walk through it, with our head held high and the confidence we need to persevere. Things are really only as good or bad as we make them. We place value on them through our thoughts, the way we 'think' about them. When you feel like difficulties are surmounting, try not to become so overwhelmed by hopelessness and discouragement, that may cause you to turn away from the problem, but instead, take a deep breath and rest assured that you have all the answers you need inside of you to conquer anything thrown your way.
